Well I completed my first whole quilt. From piecing to quilting! I am really proud of it! The work was wonderful, I love it and I love the outcome! So addicting!! Whatya think??

Newbie quilter

Hello everyone! I am Mary and I am a new quilter.  I decided to start this blog to chronicle my quilting and sewing adventures!

In October I decided I wanted to take some quilting classes.  So I checked out a local quilting store merrilywequiltalong.com. I started out in November taking a back to basics beginners quilting class there.

First let me say...I loved the quilt shop!! The atmosphere was awesome!! They were friendly, nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I decided right then...I could spend days in there just looking around.

My basic quilting class? Loved it! What a great teacher! Merrily was a great instructor, she simplified the process and made lots of things in the quilting world make sense to me. While I was there I sewed on a Bernina 350PE instead of lugging in my brother machine from home. Well....I ended up purchasing my first Bernina. I love it!!  I brought it home and have used it 5 out of 7  days a week since!  I will post some of my creations soon.

Anyway, that's my introduction!  Looking forward to blogging my journey!!
